Tai Chi and Qigong are gentle, low-impact practices rooted in ancient Chinese traditions that focus on harmonizing the mind, body, and breath. Whether you're looking to improve balance, reduce stress, or simply move more mindfully, these practices are accessible for all fitness levels and ages.
Tai Chi (Taiji Quan) is a meditative martial art known for its slow, flowing movements and deep breathing. It’s often described as "meditation in motion" and is practiced in sequences or forms.
Qigong (pronounced “chee-gong”) is a wellness practice that combines coordinated movement, breath work, and intention to promote the flow of Qi (life energy) through the body. Qigong is typically simpler and more repetitive, making it especially beginner-friendly.
Both are excellent for developing body awareness, improving posture, and encouraging inner stillness.
I have received specialized training in Tai Chi for Health and Qigong fundamentals, focusing on safe, therapeutic movement for a wide range of populations — including older adults and individuals managing chronic conditions. My teaching integrates principles from traditional Chinese movement theory with a modern, evidence-based approach.
Classes are taught with an emphasis on safety, accessibility, and mindfulness — whether you're new to these practices or have experience.
